New Build in Lorne

Situated within a steep and heavily treed gully, the site provides expansive vistas across the ocean and into the bush.

Built over four levels, the dynamic form is a direct response to an irregular building envelope determined by a flame zone bushfire risk, steep terrain, difficult access, land instability and challenging orientation.

The home is encased in robust and protective matte black steel cladding and softened by extensive blackbutt timber internal lining.

Josh designed our home on an extremely difficult block in Lorne. I love how his designs blend in with the surroundings, he makes the most of the northern sun, and every window has a purpose.

I have not come from a building background therefore it’s difficult for me to imagine and compare the plans to the reality of the build. With josh’s hand drawing skills he was able to sketch up a 3D concept for me, which gave me a much better perspective. - Amelia
